British Embassy Baku

Filed under: General Talk — Zaur @ 12:07 am

A month ago my customer invited me to UK for a couple of weeks, to discuss our future works.. I agreed, and asked him to supply me with necessary documents to obtain visa.

I searched for “British Emabssy Baku” in google , and found out from their site what documents need to supply for a visa. Since my visit was going to be about 2 weeks, more appropriate visa type was six month entry -  “C”. I promptly filled out the application form on the site, then printed it, and attached invatation letter along with invitors passwords copy. Additionally I enclosed my international password and bank bills. I went to embassy to pass my documents, they told me that I needed to make appointment thru their site online. Huh, why not, I went to home, and put an appointment on their site.

Morning May 18, 10 am, I was in embassy, there were about 7-8 people waiting to call, the embassy officer called one by one, and when he called my name, I entered in the office, where I was asked to give them my ducuments/papers. Afterwards, I went thru interview at another room, answered to few questions, then vice consule told me to come tommorow and get my visa.

In next day I come to british embassy and picked up my password where was visa entry stamp.

In conclusion I would like to say, that I was very happy with the embassies behavior and operation. Despite of I don’t like to go thru goverment offices, this time it was such a plesure to deal with this people.

Befero I heard that european and american embassies was very hard to pass thru, but now I ensured my own, that it is not so hard, even easier than to pass our local offices.

Tommorow, I will figure out with tickets, and another stuff for my flight.

I will write another story after my arrival to UK, if I find time, otherwise in my return to home - Baku!
