  • London tour

After short Friday at last of working days, I catch train from Reading to London. I got off at Paddington station, which was 2 bus station away from the Hotel I reserved.
The hotel located just 50-100 meters far from Marlebone underground. I got in my room, relaxed a bit, and then directed to Piccadilly, I was advised to visit Piccadilly circus, and it was right suggestion, since I found the place very interesting and entertainment. Piccadilly is like huge podium walking on it crowd of young people and most of them tourist from other countries, I hired a “bicycle taxi”, the bicycle driver get me over the circle, was really enjoyable trip on it. We stopped at the door of bar, then I have drank couple of half pinch of beers, listened loud music, then went back to my hotel.
At the morning, I get ticket to travel bus. The travel buses go over the center of London, and stop on famous places, where passengers may get off, and catch the next bus, to prolong their route.
Sits on the travel buses equipped with headphones what allow tourists to listen guide in 8 different languages. The upper flow of buses always busy, and I had only two chance to sit upstairs, and have sightseeing of the London. I won’t describe each of them, because they are very famous to tell about them one more time here…Tower Bridge, London Eye, Westminster, Nelson Square, they are on the same route, and along with the river of Thames. My ticket include travel on the Thames, so I got a chance to get in one of the travel boats, and walk.
In next days and weekends, I visited few other places, Hyde Park, Regency Park it is the next to London Zoo, British Museum, Harrods, Cavern Garden. It would take me days, to write about them, so I think better to stop here.
In conclusion I would say one aphorism, if you tired of London, this mean you tired to live.
4 days, from 9am, to 11 pm, I walked on London’s, streets and its interesting places, but it was still not enough to go all other fun places.

  • My England trip

My London Trip began from Heathrow airport where I arrived at 6 am, a huge terminal with big crowd walking thru out the airport cheered me up, different kind of people, black, white, asians, and you realize that you come to the capital of the world!
My people met and took me out to Reading (Berkshire), where I was pointed to work.
We passed few dozens of miles from London/Heathrow to Reading,

Green meadows of a field of England at once have inspired me, on road we have come in Windsor the British flag hung that tells about a presence of queen in the palace, after smoke a cigarette and we have continued the way. We got in Reading, it is administrative centre of Berkshire., Reading it is sufficient average town with the beautiful streets, shops, cafe and restaurants. We parked near to the central department store, had a little walked thru it … what surprised me as my colleague paid 5 pounds for a parking which took no more than a half of a hour, At once realized that what expenses are waited me in UK for the next 15 days!

environsust1.jpgWe met other colleagues and went to have a lunch in one of beautiful fish restaurants, I do not remember how it was called, though. As far as I have understood the fishes are delivered to England from Scotland by the name of dishes in the menu, no doubt, this country is surrounded with the seas so no problems with the any kind of fish selection.

From a window, I observed on the channel and fusing on it of gondolas, frankly, it was a pleasant show.

After the lunch we went to reserve hotel that was about 10 miles from the Reading

The district called Grazeley Green, it was a small village in which I spent about 10 days of my whole trip. The hotel called “ Premier Travel Inn ” which widely spread throughout of UK.

20062006(001).jpgMost likely it was country motel, though with good convenience, cleanliness and service. Next to it was small restaurant under the name “ The Old Bell ” where I had my breakfasts, and had at times dinner. The place was too quiet despite of sufficient quantities of visitors which come restaurant in the evenings. Among the bears I liked Stella, which was kindly soft in taste, but still far way from Bavarian bear.

From Monday till Friday I worked, and waited for that the treasured days off to go to London. About which I will tell here.

  • British Embassy Baku

A month ago my customer invited me to UK for a couple of weeks, to discuss our future works.. I agreed, and asked him to supply me with necessary documents to obtain visa.

I searched for “British Emabssy Baku” in google , and found out from their site what documents need to supply for a visa. Since my visit was going to be about 2 weeks, more appropriate visa type was six month entry – “C”. I promptly filled out the application form on the site, then printed it, and attached invatation letter along with invitors passwords copy. Additionally I enclosed my international password and bank bills. I went to embassy to pass my documents, they told me that I needed to make appointment thru their site online. Huh, why not, I went to home, and put an appointment on their site.

Morning May 18, 10 am, I was in embassy, there were about 7-8 people waiting to call, the embassy officer called one by one, and when he called my name, I entered in the office, where I was asked to give them my ducuments/papers. Afterwards, I went thru interview at another room, answered to few questions, then vice consule told me to come tommorow and get my visa.

In next day I come to british embassy and picked up my password where was visa entry stamp.

In conclusion I would like to say, that I was very happy with the embassies behavior and operation. Despite of I don’t like to go thru goverment offices, this time it was such a plesure to deal with this people.

Befero I heard that european and american embassies was very hard to pass thru, but now I ensured my own, that it is not so hard, even easier than to pass our local offices.

Tommorow, I will figure out with tickets, and another stuff for my flight.

I will write another story after my arrival to UK, if I find time, otherwise in my return to home – Baku!

  • Web Designers Help You Become a Star

Accompanying the sudden change of direction at Yahoo, many other high traffic Web sites are embracing do-it-yourself entertainment. Some are even offering their users incentives like cash prizes or a trip to New York.

For a while it seemed web designers were quickly evolving into TV “designers.” But then major portals began dropping plans to provide entertainment. Instead, sites are offering to merely provide tools for their visitors to make and propagate original content themselves.

Ifilm.com is a good indicator of where major media companies are seeing Web-based entertainment right now. The Web site, owned by media conglomerate Viacom, features short videos contributed by amateurs. Visitors to Ifilm can vote on their favorite clips and provide their own competing ones.

Web Design Jobs Make It to TV

In fact, (proving that synergy isn’t quite dead) Ifilm has teamed up with Viacom’s VH1 network in a cash prize competition, called “Show Us Your Junk.” The cross media partnership (with reward) has increased clip submissions to Ifilm considerably.

This is good news for Web designers who were probably wondering if their jobs were slowly being colonized by Hollywood content providers. With competitions like “Show Us your Junk,” it’s Web designers making an encroachment on TV.

    Web Design Enables Home Entertainment

Ifilm is hardly the only Web designed, do-it-yourself entertainment exchange. Youtube.com operates similarly; inviting visitors to vote on posted content and contribute home made entertainment of their own.

This trend is encouraged even further by Hollywood content providers who are growing protective of their material. Increasingly, captured snippets of favorite TV moments are no longer free to roam on Ifilm and Youtube.

    Web Design Career

The growth of Youtube or Ifilm shows that a Web design career can be more than just designing a site index or home page. Web design jobs are growing increasingly complex, and having a Web design degree or training in the field will help you to take advantage of the new trends on the Internet. Plus, it also helps to have some creativity to help you image the next best Web technology. Who knows what you may create in your Web design career.

  • April 1 – is a day of Humor and Jokes.

April 1 this Day is not brought in any calendars of significant dates and national holidays, but it successufuly is celebrated both in Russia, Azerbaijan and other post soviet countries, and in Germany, France and even in the East. In one countries on April, 1 name Day of laughter, in others – Day of the fool. But who the first has thought up this holiday? How to play the friends, fellow workers and it is simple passers-by? How to celebrate this Day at school? What draws are most popular: mass, telephone, or computer? And also: a comic all-prize lottery, fun SMS and messages for an answering machine, focuses, gigs from a life, game, competitions, virtual cards and comic scripts by April 1! It is difficult to tell, where this holiday came from. Custom to have fun, joke and deceive each other on April, 1 exists in very many countries. About occurrence of April Fools’ tradition there are many the various hypotheses converging in one: roots of it deeply leave in medieval European carnaval culture. As a matter of fact it is one of the most proof elements of ancient period, settled in Christian consciousness. And weight one attribute origin of this holiday to Ancient Rome, where in the middle of February (and at all in the beginning of April) the holiday of “Silly” was celebrated.

Under one version, the custom to joke on April 1, is connected to carry of new year. Till second half XVI century, the european new year began at the end of March. For this event prepared, visited to each other, gave gifts. The meeting of New year occured on April, 1. Later, under the decree of the French king, the beginning of year officially began to mark on January, 1, but many citizens continued to celebrate on April, 1. To get rid old traditions, them began to name « April Fools’ fools », began fashionable them to play and deride. Presumably more than 70 % of people are going to play somebody from familiar. So be on the lookout, be reserved by sense of humour, a set fresh jokes and amusing rhymes, at draws do not take offence, and answer them.

In general, have fun, because laughter, as is known, prolongs a life.

  • Wikipedia here and there

Whatever I search for in google en.wikipedia.org comes in top results, this new informative website come in my attention recently. This is huge free encyclopedia with144,000,000 internal pages (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&rls=GGLD,GGLD:2004-40,GGLD:en&q=site:en.wikipedia.org).

What I found out the Wikipedia is open encyclopedia website which edited by anybody who want to. The software was developed by Ward Cunningham in 1995 (Wiki Wiki Web). The idea behind such sites is to create truly communal repositories of knowledge where the contribution cost is so low as to allow novice and expert users alike to act as active members of a community.

In another word Wiki is a kind of website that permit internet users to visit the website to add, remove, or edit all content directly, usually without membership. This easy way makes Wiki to grow up rapidly and to be an effective community and knowledgeble resource.

But my doubt in spam on this kind of website, because if anyone has access to content, then the site can be place of rubbish for some bad people(spammers), even any kind of spam filters woun’t help.

Whether you have any important or unique information in your mind, then the Wiki is a place to post your idea in written form, this would also help you to promote your link along with useful information for people who look for the resource you added.
